Diamonds & Stones

Diamonds & Stones

Never take someone for granted
Hold ever person close to your heart
Because you might wake up one day
And realize that you've lost a diamond
While you were too busy collecting stones...

Be honest to yourself, and think carefully about what I am about to write. Lets take the "collecting stones" to mean "kaam maathi navra na thai". Are you working so hard that the "diamonds" who are your friends, family and ones close to your heart being neglected? When was the last time you spent quality time with them? Quality time does not mean watching Eastenders or "Piya Ka Ghar" with them. Quality time is all about taking time out to know whats happening with that person - their feelings, emotions, thoughts etc. Spoil them! Take them out for lunch/dinner. Go for a lovely walk with them. Just do it, don't wait around for tomorrow...

Today is today and tomorrow is another day. Do it today, before its too late. We've all been there, and have been touched by the loss of a loved one.

When was the last time you told them that you loved them? Life is too short - if you cannot say it, its your loss, because once the person is gone, its too late. Watch out or my post titled "Please Don't blame God". I have a lot more to say on this matter.

Ten Things God Won't Ask You:

1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove -
He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

2. God won't ask the square footage of your house -
He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet -
He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4. God won't ask what your highest salary was -
He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5. God won't ask what your job title was -
He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

6. God won't ask how many friends you had -
He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived -
He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

8. God won't ask about the color of your skin -
He'll ask about the content of your character.

9. God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation -
He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.

10. God won't ask how many people you forwarded this to -
He'll ask if you were ashamed to pass it on to your friends.

Read Carefully ...
Happy moments - praise God.
Difficult moments - seek God.
Quiet moments -worship God.
Painful moments - trust God.
Every moment - thank God.

My elder niece emailed me this. I think it is so appropriate to use, especially since Anjali means "an offering with both hands where the palms are together."

Anuraga = Divine Love...

With the divine grace and blessings of my Pavansuta Hanumanj and my Anuraga, I am able to bring you this website. I am a novice when it comes to IT and technology, so this website will be kept simple, and cater for all ages.

The purpose of this website is to try and enlighten peoples perspectives on spiritualty, our Hindu Dharma, have discussions etc. Lets see where it takes us. It will not be possible without your valuable contributons and comments. You may email me at Dipa.Anjali@Gmail.com for notifications and other information.

Many may be wondering why I am using "Dipa-Anjali" as the website name? Well, it was not an easy task to come up with the the name! I was advised be a dear one that I should use my own name - "Dipa" since it was defined as "Giver of light, one who brings light, one who brings light to those around her". But, I wanted more. So, searched around, and came across the Sanskrit word "Anjali" which means "an offering with both hands where the palms are together". "Anjali" is also an offering to Bhagwan (God). We are all part of the Parmatama, Bhagwan resides within each one of us, so this is my offering to you too.

Please Enjoy Your Stay...
